Arunas has been a Biologist with the Upper Great Lakes Management Unit of the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources for over 33 years. One of his passion projects has been the monitoring and assessment of Muskellunge populations in Georgian Bay and the North Channel of Lake Huron. This project has collected one of the most comprehensive data bases on Muskellunge biology in the Great Lakes. His talk will be a compendium of this work covering a range of topic areas including Muskellunge spawning distribution, biological attributes, genetic profiles and spawning habitat requirements as well as providing location specific updates on netting projects in recent years from the Moon River, Magnetawan River and McGregor Bay.
